TT #28: Ghost Goals

The boys downstairs keep shouting goal.

Every day, it’s “why don’t you like football. What’s wrong with you? B33ma besia!*” It’s been that way since I was six. My two older brothers, Jay and Ray, are addicted to football.

One a Man U fan, the other a Chelsea fan, their red and blue rivalry has always dominated the TV screen.

Me, I like to watch K-dramas, or rather, I liked to watch them. The big boys never let me enjoy them on the big TV downstairs, so I just started reading them.

“Your nose is always in some book” they say, not realising that they shoved it there.

Teasing and teasing, those jerks never made me feel like I belonged. Ah well. Today, my nose is pointing up in the air, the noose is tight around my neck, and the stool just hit the floor.

And as always, the boys downstairs just keep shouting goal.

Prompt: The boys downstairs keep shouting goal
