TT #9: Living Library

The library had seen things.

The college was built in 1783, and the library the year after, so it was centuries old. It had seen many all nighters. Generations of students burnt the midnight oil, lit candles and eventually, switched on the lights in the wee hours of the morning to prepare for their exams and do homework.

The library had even seen love. Or as close an approximation of love as devastatingly horny co-eds could manage.

Scratch, that, the library had seen lust.

But the one thing the library had never seen was a murder. Fortunately, that was about to change tonight.

Prompt: The library had seen things
